AI Contract Overview
This contract is for the procurement of 24 units of a variable resistor identified by NSN 5905015687038 under an indefinite-delivery contract with a maximum value of $350,000.00, administered by the Department of Defense’s Maritime Supply Chain through solicitation SPE7M1-26-U-4775. Delivery is required within 259 days of award, with FOB Origin terms applying, and no quantity variance is permitted. All items must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E for packaging and MIL-STD-129 for marking, including a special ZZ marking requirement that mandates adherence to IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609 for identifying lead content on component leads, with placement governed by the standard’s specifications. Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited from direct contact with the supplied hardware unless exempted as functional components in batteries, fluorescent lamps, sensors, weapon systems, or NAVSEA-specified reagents; portable mercury-containing devices must be shockproof and include a secondary containment barrier as defined by NAVSEA 5100-003D. Packaging and palletization must follow DLA’s RP001 requirements, and bare item marking must satisfy RQ017. The contract includes mandatory compliance with numerous FAR and DFARS clauses covering cybersecurity safeguards, hazardous material restrictions, whistleblower protections, electronic payment reporting through WAWF, and prohibitions on acquiring equipment from Communist Chinese military companies or using hexavalent chromium. Offerors must represent their small business status and provide UEI and CAGE codes, with proposals submitted electronically via DIBBS by the August 6, 2026 deadline. Inspection and acceptance occur at destination under FAR 52.246-2, and no unit price is set—payment will be determined upon issuance of individual delivery orders under the contract ceiling.
