AI Contract Overview
This contract specifies the procurement of a nonwire wound, nonprecision variable resistor with the NSN 5905-01-207-6436 and part number RJR24FW102R, governed by military specifications MIL-PRF-39035/2H and MIL-PRF-39035F, both dated December 8, 2023. The item is listed on a Qualified Products List or Qualified Manufacturers List, requiring compliance with approved manufacturing sources. Technical and quality requirements are defined by the DLA Master List of Technical and Quality Requirements, referenced by R or I numbers, with revision control tied to the solicitation or award date depending on acquisition size. Mercury and mercury-containing compounds are strictly prohibited unless exempted for specific functional uses such as batteries, fluorescent lights, instrumentation, weapon systems, or approved chemical reagents; portable devices containing mercury must be shockproof with secondary containment as per NAVSEA 5100-003D. The resistor is designated a critical application item requiring strict adherence to configuration management and engineering change procedures. Packaging must comply with MIL-STD-2073-1E, and marking must follow MIL-STD-129 with special code ZZ for additional requirements. Lead finish must be marked per IPC/JEDEC J-STD-609 on each unit package, with clear attribution to lead content status. The contract calls for 233 units delivered FOB origin within 26 days, with zero variance in quantity, inspected and accepted at destination. The delivery address is DLA Distribution San Diego, with a required ship date of September 13, 2026, and original delivery target of March 27, 2027. The procurement is under solicitation SPE7M2-26-T-6034, managed by the Department of Defense’s Nuclear Reactor Program, with primary point of contact David Larsen.
