Full Description

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Laboratory Sciences Division intends to procure a sole source, firm -fixed price award to North Star Imaging, Inc, 19875 S Diamond Lake Road, Suite 10, Rogers, MN 55374 to purchase a Retrofit and Upgrade of an existing X5000 mosaiX, subpiX and vorteX CT Cabinet system (motion controller, tube and acquisition computer). The procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. North Star, Inc is the sole manufacturer of this X5000 CT and is the only contractor that can provide the compatible upgrade and currently possess the sole proprietary rights to develop this equipment. The contractor shall deliver, install, maintain, and provide updates for new software to include a one (1) year warranty and training services. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes and no award will be made on the basis of any proposal or other information received in response to this notice; however, any firm that believes that it can supply the above reference equipment may give written notification to the Contract Specialist, Rudi Murray-Johnson via email at rmurray-johnson@cpsc.gov by 1:00 pm on July 31, 2017 describing their firm's capability. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in the preparation of responses to this notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to the ATTN of Rudi Murray-Johnson at the above listed email address. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS. Responses will be evaluated however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon the response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification systems code is 334513. The information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, CPSC will proceed with negotiating a sole source award to North Star Imaging, Inc.
