The intent of this Federal Business Opportunities notice is to inform the public of internal activities the General Services Administration (GSA) Office of the Procurement Ombudsman is implementing as part of an effort to structure and communicate the agency's approach to industry engagement and acquisition initiatives designed to improve how GSA does business. This learning event is designed to improve GSA's understanding of industry processes and methodologies related to identifying and tracking GSA opportunities, pricing, proposal preparation, and various contract performance considerations. The event will provide GSA's acquisition workforce an opportunity to learn about the issues that are most important to industry when doing business with the agency. The purpose of this special notice is to announce that GSA will host its first Reverse Industry Training Event for GSA employees on July 10, 2017 in Washington, D.C. Please note that this is not a traditional industry engagement event where the audience will be comprised primarily of industry attendees. This is a learning event for the GSA acquisition workforce. This event is being planned by the GSA Office of the Procurement Ombudsman (OPO) and industry association representatives. The audience for this Reverse Industry Training Event will be made up of government attendees, industry panelists, and a limited number of representatives from industry to be determined by the industry planning participants. Registration will not be open to industry representatives. If you would like to be considered for inclusion in future events please reach out to OPO.
