Fannin County, Texas, has issued a Request for Bids (RFB) for the supply of rock and gravel materials to be used across all Road & Bridge Precincts within the county. The contract, which is set to last for one year from the date of award, seeks responsible vendors to provide materials that meet specific gradation and size specifications, with the county reserving the right to reject any products that do not meet approval standards. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes by June 17, 2025, before 3:00 PM, and will be publicly opened shortly thereafter. The county emphasizes that the selection process will consider not only price but also factors such as transport, reliability, warranties, and customer service, aiming to secure the best overall value. The bidding process includes provisions for clarifications, amendments, and the possibility of awarding contracts to multiple vendors based on location or material type. The county maintains the right to cancel the RFB or reject any or all bids at its discretion, and no individual county official has authority to bind the county without proper authorization. Bidders are required to submit a signed bid form, provide references for previous supply of similar materials, and agree to indemnify the county against claims arising from their performance. The process is designed to ensure transparency and compliance with legal requirements, with all bids subject to public inspection after award.
