Solicitation details, issuing organization, response deadlines, documents, and interested companies for this government contract opportunity.
AI Contract Overview
The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Europe and Africa is conducting open market research to identify U.S.-based manufacturers capable of supplying commercial-off-the-shelf power tools that operate natively on the European 220V–240V, 50Hz electrical grid without requiring external transformers or adapters. This Request for Information is not a solicitation and does not obligate the government to issue a contract or purchase any products. Responses are strictly voluntary, and respondents will not be compensated for any costs incurred in preparing their submissions. The agency seeks technical specifications confirming that proposed tools are designed for native European voltage and frequency, are manufactured or assembled in the United States, and do not rely on external conversion equipment. Respondents must provide detailed answers to three core questions regarding product compatibility, manufacturing origin, and power requirements, along with company information including name, address, DUNS and CAGE codes, point of contact details, and a narrative describing capabilities and past performance. Submissions must be formatted as a single PDF document, not exceeding ten pages in length, using Times New Roman 12-point font, and may include proprietary markings where applicable. All responses are due by July 24, 2026, and must be sent to Ryan Piecyk at ryan.piecyk@dla.mil. Participation in this RFI does not guarantee future consideration for procurement, and potential vendors are responsible for monitoring the solicitation site for any updates or future opportunities.

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support Europe and Africa is conducting market research to determine the availability of domestically manufactured (U.S.-made) 220-Volt / 50-Hertz power tools to support operations in Europe. The purpose of this market research is to identify if there are U.S. domestic manufacturers capable of providing commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) power tools that natively operate on the European power grid without the use of external voltage transformers.
With the requirement in mind, please answer the following questions as part of your response:
-
Question 1: Do your offered power tools natively support operating input of 220V–240V alternating current (AC) at a frequency of 50Hz? Please provide the technical specification sheets or manufacturer cut-sheets confirming this rating.
-
Question 2: Do your offered tools require external voltage transformers, frequency converters, or step-down adapters to operate on a standard European 220V/50Hz power grid?
-
Question 3: Are the offered 220V/50Hz power tools manufactured, produced, or assembled in the United States?
Please submit the following information in your response:
1. Answers to the above questions
2. Company information, to include:
- Your company name, address,
- The company's web page (if applicable);
- CAGE Code and DUNS number,
- Point of contact, including: name, title, phone, and email address
