SYNOPSIS: This Sources Sought Announcement is to assist the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center (DEVCOM Soldier Center) to identify potential sources to provide a support contract to safely operate and maintain their 1000T hydraulic press.
The Government requests that responses be submitted electronically to mary.k.prebensen.civ@army.mil and wesley.s.shaw.civ@army.mil by May 15, 2026 by 5pm EST.
Background: The Government (DEVCOM Soldier Center) is in need of knowledgeable support to ensure good working order for their Beckwood hydraulic press.
Description: DEVCOM SC is in need of remote and on-site support to ensure safe operations and proper maintenance of their 1000T Beckwood Hydraulic press. The equipment is used for processing materials under high pressure, and temperatures up to 350 degrees F.
Specific Specifications: Respondees should have strong working knowledge of Beckwood press control software and hardware systems. Respondees should be able to remotely troubleshoot based on technical data, and provide guidance on Beckwood software and hardware use and specific replace parts as needed. Respondees shall provide standard maintenance parts (excluding fluids) per system recommended maintenance schedule.
Deliverables: Remote technical support via phone and email communications. Annual preventative maintenance service visits (up to 3 years) to ensure safe and reliable operation of the press systems including pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, water, air subsystems and components.
Delivery Date: The Government anticipates 4-6 weeks (each) lead time for delivery of on-site service. Please identify timeframe required for delivery scheduling.
Government Furnished Property (Equipment/Materials/Information/Computer Utilization): Access to the Government’s Beckwood hydraulic press and standalone control system used to control and operate the press should be expected. Fluids required for system maintenance will be purchased and provided by the Government prior to arrival of maintenance technicians. Note: No remote access to the control system is available.

The United States Army has not made a commitment to procure any of the items/services discussed, and release of this Sources Sought Announcement should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. Response to this Sources Sought Announcement is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this and any follow-on information requests. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned.
Not responding to this Sources Sought Announcement does not preclude participation in any future RFP if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in the SAM.gov website. It is the responsibility of the potential responders to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this subject.
