1.0 Purpose
The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing six new 20-foot MilSpec CONNEX storage container systems outfitted with interior storage cabinets, restraint/fastener systems, and LED lighting.
This Request for Information is issued solely for market research purposes in accordance with FAR Part 10. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote, Request for Proposal, Invitation for Bid, or a promise to issue a future solicitation. The Government is not seeking proposals at this time and will not accept unsolicited proposals in response to this notice.
Responses to this notice will assist the Government in determining availability of sources, commerciality, small business capability, acquisition strategy, lead times, delivery considerations, and whether a future requirement may be set aside for small business concerns.
2.0 Anticipated Quantity
The Government anticipates a requirement for six complete 20-foot MilSpec CONNEX storage container systems.
Each CONNEX system shall include the full interior cabinet/storage configuration, restraint/fastener system, and interior LED lighting described in this notice.
The anticipated quantity is provided for market research purposes only and does not obligate the Government to procure any specific quantity.
3.0 Container Requirement
Each CONNEX container shall meet the following minimum requirements:
- New 20-foot MilSpec CONNEX container
- New/unused condition
- Standard 20-foot ISO-style container footprint
- Weather-resistant and suitable for outdoor storage
- Structurally sound and capable of safely supporting installed storage cabinets and shelving
- Lockable cargo doors
- Interior configured to support cabinet and shelving installation
- Suitable for transport and relocation
- Corrosion-resistant exterior coating or finish appropriate for outdoor use

4.0 Required Interior Configuration
Each of the six CONNEX containers shall include all necessary hardware, mounting brackets, restraint systems, fasteners, anchoring, and installation labor required to provide a complete and usable storage system.
5.0 Restraint / Fastener System
Each container shall include a restraint and fastener system sufficient to secure all installed cabinets, shelves, bins, and related components during normal use and transportation.
At a minimum, the restraint/fastener system shall:
- Securely attach cabinets and shelving to the container structure
- Prevent shifting, tipping, or movement during routine use and transport
- Be compatible with the size and weight of all installed storage components
- Include all necessary mounting hardware, bracing, anchors, straps, rails, bolts, or other required components
- Be installed in a professional and workmanlike manner
- Not interfere with cabinet door or drawer operation
- Maintain safe aisle/access space inside the container
6.0 Electrical / Lighting Requirement
Each container shall include an interior LED lighting system consisting of:
- Interior LED light fixture or fixtures sufficient to illuminate the container interior
- Wall switch
- Electrical outlet/switch combo
- Properly routed and protected wiring
- Electrical components installed in accordance with applicable electrical standards

Vendors responding to this RFI shall identify whether they can provide the exact Brand Name Only Durham and Stanley Vidmar cabinet items listed below.
If any required item is unavailable, discontinued, subject to extended lead time, or requires clarification, vendors shall clearly identify the issue in their response. This notice is intended to determine whether the required Brand Name Only items are commercially available and whether vendors can provide the items as part of a fully integrated CONNEX storage solution.

9.0 Requested Vendor Information

- Confirmation of ability to provide six new 20-foot MilSpec CONNEX containers
- Confirmation of ability to install the listed cabinet and storage components in each container

- Confirmation of ability to provide the required Stanley Vidmar Brand Name Only cabinet items
