The Genesee Intermediate School District is soliciting single lump sum proposals for two distinct facility improvement projects in Flint, Michigan: EKLC Gym Wall Improvements and GCI Concrete Floor Refinishing. All work must be performed at the Elmer A. Knopf Learning Center and adhere to the plans and specifications developed by Wakely Associates Inc./Architects. Bids are due by 2:00pm on October 20, 2026, and must be submitted in triplicate to the Director of Business Services. To be considered, bidders must provide a bid security of at least five percent of the total bid price via certified check, cashier's check, or Surety Bid Bond. Mandatory submission requirements include the use of provided bid forms, prevailing wage annual certifications from the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Growth for all contractors, and a sworn, notarized statement disclosing any familial relationships with the school board or administration. Failure to provide the disclosure statement is grounds for immediate rejection. The contract stipulates that payments will be made exclusively through Electronic Funds Transfer within 45 calendar days of invoice receipt or final acceptance. All deliverables must meet industry standards and are subject to final inspection by the State within 30 days of completion. The vendor is responsible for all packaging and shipping costs, with deliverables shipped F.O.B. destination.
