Hudsonville Public Schools is soliciting bids for a Video Monitoring System Migration project to transition from an existing Excqvision Management System to a new platform using Avigilon (Alta) or Genetec (Omnicast) technology. The contractor is responsible for the design, engineering, supply, installation, and testing of a fully operational network video monitoring system across multiple sites, including the Administration, Transportation, and Maintenance buildings. Key technical requirements include the use of IEEE Ethernet technology, plenum-type cabling with continuous marking, and a system license capable of supporting the initial configuration plus ten additional cameras for five years without further software investment. The project must reach substantial completion by February 28, 2027, with final close-out by March 31, 2027. Bidders must submit their responses by September 3, 2026, providing both a bound hard copy and a USB electronic copy. Required submission documents include a bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid, a Michigan Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement, and a schedule of values in Excel format. Award evaluation will be based on proposed materials, bidder qualifications, project manager experience, and the ability to meet the completion date, though the owner is not obligated to accept the lowest bid. Contract administration requires monthly invoicing via AIA Payment Request Forms accompanied by notarized waivers of lien. The selected contractor must provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including a two million dollar general aggregate for liability and statutory workers compensation, as well as performance and payment bonds for one hundred percent of the bid amount.
