Ultrasonic Vapor DegreaserThe U.S. Government, through the 309th Electronics Maintenance Group at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is conducting market research to identify capable vendors for a turnkey ultrasonic vapor degreaser system with integrated automated parts handling and solvent recycling/distillation. This sources sought notice, identified by solicitation number FA8227-26-SS-VAPORDEGREASER and posted on July 22, 2026, does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to award a contract; no quotes, bids, or proposals are being requested at this time, and the government will not reimburse any costs incurred in response. Respondents are required to provide detailed information including company name, CAGE/UEI, point of contact, business size under NAICS code 333248 (750-employee size standard), and socioeconomic status such as small business, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, or SDVOSB. Additionally, respondents must clarify whether they are the manufacturer, authorized dealer, or reseller of a comparable system, provide capability statements demonstrating recent installations—particularly at government or DoD sites—and confirm their ability to meet all technical requirements including solvent compatibility with Kyzen SLV901, closed-loop recycling, backup power functionality, OSHA-compliant safety features, and delivery and installation within 30 days of delivery. The system must be installed at Building 843 at Hill AFB, requiring coordination for utility hookups, facility infrastructure, and strict compliance with base access rules that mandate U.S. citizenship for all personnel and advance submission of identification and vehicle information. Respondents must also detail their GSA or federal contract vehicle holdings, typical lead times, facility prerequisites such as power and ventilation, and any recommended NAICS code changes. While no formal evaluation factors, contract clause references, pricing data, or award basis are defined at this stage, the technical depth of the Draft SOW suggests that any future solicitation will prioritize technical compliance and past performance through a trade-off process, not LPTA. All responses must be submitted electronically via SAM.gov by August 24, 2026, and failure to respond will not exclude entities from future opportunities. The government will set aside the requirement for small businesses only if at least two qualified small businesses respond with sufficient information, and any future solicitation will be posted on SAM.gov.
