The State University of New York at Stony Brook (herein after referred to as "SUNY”) is soliciting qualifications from consultants to provide design and engineering services for the upgrade of the East Plant unit substation and associated electrical equipment. The existing low voltage (LV) switchgear, as part of the secondary unit-substation, in the East Plant at Stony Brook University, provides power to the heating systems as well as other loads such as the emergency generator rooms, utility tunnel exhaust fans, and East Campus street lighting.
