Defence Construction Canada – Request for Qualification (RFQ) for the Supply and Installation of Shipyard Cranes: Jetty NJ, CFB Halifax, Nova Scotia, and A and B Jetties, CFB Esquimalt, British Columbia, DCC Project Number IE12347J *** Tenderers are advised that the closing date has been changed from 07 May 2024 to 21 May 2024. The closing time remains unchanged. *** In accordance with the rules, regulations, statutes, guidelines and the professional associations of the provinces where the project will be carried out, Defence Construction Canada (DCC) is calling for Proposals from Contractors for the following scope of work: For the B Jetty and A Jetty cranes at CFB Esquimalt, the scope includes, but is not necessarily limited to the design, manufacture, painting, inspection, delivery, site assembly and erection, commissioning, testing, certification for use, a 3-year warranty period, spare parts, training, maintenance and servicing of the following: .1  Two (2) new rail mounted portal cranes with a rotating superstructure, luffing jib, main and auxiliary hoists, capable of traversing, slewing, luffing and hoisting suspended loads, and including tie-downs and crane stops. Each crane is to be installed and operated independently on two (2) newly constructed jetties: B Jetty and A Jetty. For the Jetty NJ crane at CFB Halifax, the scope includes, but is not necessarily limited to the design, manufacture, painting, inspection, delivery, site assembly and erection, commissioning, testing, certification for use, a 3-year warranty period, spare parts, and training of the following: .1  One (1) self-propelled, rail-mounted, level-luffing, slewing-type portal crane with single boom, main and auxiliary hoisting hooks, and ancillary equipment, including tie-downs and crane stops. Information provided by the Tenderers will be evaluated using the established criteria in the RFQ.  The purpose of this RFQ process (identified as Step 1) is for DCC to identify qualified Tenderers that will subsequently be invited to submit a Tender Submission (identified as Step 2) for the Work. A non-mandatory Tenderer information session will be conducted via Microsoft Teams on 23 April 2024, at 0930h (Eastern Standard Time). Tenderers wishing to participate in the Tenderer information session are to contact the Coordinator, Contract Services via email to register. The Security Requirements for this project are identified in the RFQ Documents. The estimated cost for this opportunity is in the range of $57,000,000 Firms that consider themselves qualified to provide these services are invited to submit their Technical Proposals and Tender Proposals through the MERX Electronic Bidding System on or before the closing date and time indicated on the Electronic Bidding System.
