RJ: Elevator Maintenance Contract (RFQ requests until July 30, 2026)


Rio de Janeiro, July 17, 2026.


Dear Prospective Quoter:


The American Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has a requirement for contractors to provide Routine Elevator Maintenance Service. You are invited to submit a quotation. The Request for Quotations – RFQ consists of the following sections:

  • Representations and Certifications

Local Presence and Immediate Response Requirement: Offerors must demonstrate the capability to provide immediate on-site technical support and maintenance services in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Contractors based in the United States, or any other location, without a proven address in Rio de Janeiro and ability to respond promptly and provide in-person service in Rio de Janeiro will not be considered responsive to this requirement. Quotations must include evidence of local presence, service infrastructure, or partnership arrangements that ensure rapid response times to service calls within the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area.


The Consulate plans to award a Contract. You are encouraged to make your quotation competitive. You are also cautioned against any collusion with other potential offerors with regard to price quotations to be submitted. The RFQ does not commit the American Consulate to make any award. The Consulate may cancel this RFQ or any part of it without notice.


Please read the RFQ carefully, and if you are interested, submit your quotation. Return the completed SF-1449 in an email named "Elevator Maintenance Quote Inside." Oral quotations will not be accepted.


To receive a copy of the RFQ, send an email message to RioProcurement@state.gov no later than July 31, 2026, 5pm. The RFQ package will be forwarded by email to all interested parties.
