Riverbank Army Ammunition Plant Specific Plan

The Riverbank Army Ammunition Plant Specific Plan is a long-term redevelopment project led by the City of Riverbank, California, designed to transform the site into a mix of industrial, commercial, retail, and office/research and development uses. The project encompasses approximately 1.4 million square feet of development over a projected 20-year buildout period. Environmental compliance has been established through an Environmental Impact Report and a Notice of Determination in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act, with the City of Riverbank serving as the lead agency. A key component of the site's operational activity involves Riverbank Organics, LLC, which has proposed a food waste processing operation utilizing anaerobic digestion. This facility will include food waste receiving and pre-processing, processing operations, a finished product loadout, and the installation of three 16.4 MMBtu/hr propane-fueled boilers. The project is located at 5300 Claus Road in Riverbank, California, and is managed under the guidance of the City of Riverbank Planning Division.
