Hexavalent chromium is also prohibited, and compliance with federal, state, and local hazardous material regulations is mandatory. The contractor must submit Safety Data Sheets and hazard labels for any controlled substances and adhere to the Buy American Act and Berry Amendment. Cybersecurity compliance with NIST SP 800-171 and DFARS 252.240-7997 is required, and the use of additive manufacturing is explicitly forbidden. Trafficking in persons, equal opportunity for workers with disabilities, prohibitions on mandatory arbitration, and safeguarding of contractor information systems are enforced through applicable FAR and DFARS clauses, including deviations 2026-00038 and 2026-O0038.
