Roadmap to Obtaining Your Facility Clearance

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), in collaboration with the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA), is offering a virtual training session on August 13, 2025, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time titled "Roadmap to Obtaining Your Facility Clearance." This training is designed for entities such as companies and academic institutions that provide goods or services to the government and require a Facilities Clearance (FCL) due to access to or creation of classified information. During the session, DCSA will explain the application process for obtaining an FCL and discuss common reasons why some clearance requests are returned or face delays. Registration for the training is mandatory and must be completed by midnight on August 11, 2025, via the specified online portal, where participants should select the training title from the drop-down menu and provide all requested information. Confirmation of registration is acknowledged via a pop-up message, and any registration issues can be addressed by contacting DTRA through email with relevant details. Registered attendees will receive the link to join the virtual session on August 12, 2025. Questions regarding the training can be submitted in advance by emailing DTRA with the subject line “Facilities Clearance Training Question(s).” The training will take place with Fort Belvoir, Virginia, as the official place of performance under the Department of Defense agency.
