Notice is hereby given that Borough of West Easton will receive sealed bids online via the PennBid Program (www.PennBid.net) until 3:00 P.M., prevailing time on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, for the Roadway Improvement, Sidewalk & Curb and Inlet Replacement project at various locations near the Borough Hall located at 237 Seventh Street, West Easton, PA. The work includes but is not limited to all labor, materials, tools, oversight and selective demolition, install new stormwater structures, trench restoration, grading, concrete curbing, concrete sidewalk, asphalt mill and overall, asphalt full depth paving, pavement markings, and all other work shown or reasonably implied. All bidding documents will be available online at no cost at www.PennBid.net beginning at noon on Friday, January 26, 2024. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, in accordance with the project specifications in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders. Davis-Bacon Wage Rates shall apply. This project is subject to Federal Section 3 requirements. Bidders shall make themselves aware of the equal employment opportunity obligations. MBE/WBE firms are encouraged to apply. Immediately following the due date and time, all bids received through PennBid will be opened online at the Engineer’s Office and referred to the Owner for final award.
