The Military Sealift Fleet Support Command in Norfolk, Virginia, issued solicitation N40442-10-T-1049 as a request for quotation for the procurement of new OEM repair parts for a rocker arm overhaul on the USNS BIG HORN (T-AO 198). The contract mandates that only new OEM parts are acceptable, explicitly prohibiting surplus or non-factory authorized materials. All wood packaging must comply with ISPM 15 heat treatment standards. The procurement is conducted under the Commercial Item Test Program, with the award based on the lowest evaluated price from a technically acceptable and responsible quoter. The required delivery date for the materials was January 12, 2010, to a destination in zip code 23185.
