NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT TO ROHDE AND SCHWARZ. The Air Force Test Center (AFTC), Directorate of Contracting, Edwards Air Force Base, California, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order, in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations FAR 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items. The NAICS is 334515. Currently Rohde and Schwarz is the only known source that can provide the specific Spectrum Analyzer programmed with the required operating language that can be integrated with the customer's test requirements. These specific Signal and Spectrum Analyzers have the necessary frequencies and operational capabilities necessary to support calibration requirements for upcoming test customer operations in the Chamber. The following items will be procured: Item 1: Rohde and Schwarz Signal and Spectrum Analyzer 10 Hz to 40GHz, -154dBm to +30dBm, resolution bandwidth 1Hz to 28(40)MHz, touchscreen, P/N: FSV40, Qty: 4 Item 2: Rack Mount Kits for Spectrum Analyzers, P/N: FSV-B478, Qty: 1 The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may submit their interest and capability to the contract specialist below not later than 08 August 2014, 8:00 AM, Pacific Standard Time.
