The Naval Air Warfare Center - Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ, under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract, on a limited competition basis, to Rexnord Industries, LLC, Downers Grove, IL (CAGE 77896) or its authorized distributors, Triman Industries, Inc. (CAGE: 0ZBE8), or Wencor LLC (CAGE: 0FWK8) to provide the following Rexnord parts: RST2581 Tool, Swage, Roller RKD5001D Driver RKD5001R Receiver RKC7001 Tool, Cutting These items are proprietary parts that are only available from Rexnord Industries, LLC and its authorized distributors. This support equipment consists of unique tools designed to aid in the removal of the Pitch Link Bearing on the V-22 tilt-rotor aircraft. Rexnord Industries, LLC and its authorized distributors are the only sources approved by the designers of this support equipment. Rexnord Industries, LLC and its authorized distributors are the only source that can meet the Government's specific requirements and mission. Full and open competition is not available for this procurement as the parts required are manufactured and distributed by Rexnord Industries, Inc. and its authorized distributors are the only known sources with the knowledge and technical data to provide the parts listed above. Rexnord Industries, LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the parts listed above and the technical information for these tools is proprietary and not available to produce an adequate purchase description for full and open competition. Technical data is not available to design or manufacture comparable tools. The tools listed above are specifically designed and engineered to work on the V-22 tilt-rotor aircraft exclusively. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. Registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov) is mandatory for consideration.
