SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory is operated by Stanford University for the Department of Energy. As a management and operating contractor, subcontracts awarded by the Laboratory are not Federal procurements, and are not directly subject to the Federal Acquisition Regulations in 48 CFR. Nonetheless, certain Federal laws, Executive Orders, and regulations may affect our DOE approved purchasing system, as required by statute, regulation, or contract terms and conditions. AMENDMENT 01 HI, The following Addendum is being issued for the subject Request for Quotation: 353182 Air Bearing Rotary Table Answers to Questions: Fundamental Questions: What is the customer load moment of inertia? -See sketch. What is the motion profile? (triangular or trapezoidal motion profile, travel angle, travel time, dwell time, etc.) -Trapezoidal or smoothest profile, want in the range of 360degs in about 1-4 seconds if at constant velocity. This system will be step-scanned ie: move 0.5deg, - dwell 0.5sec, repeat for 360deg. Orientation? Floor mounted, wall mounted, ceiling mounted? See sketch, pointed up or at 30degs from - up. It will be either position. It will be expected that the rotation axis will have to be re-aligned between this two positions. What is the environment? Assume just standard lab environment? Standard Lab Enviroment What is the 100mm between our rotary service and where they need 40nm runout? We can generally only guarantee from our rotary surface as that is all we control. We don't control what interfaces between. See sketch & - wobble, Provide some information specific to your system. Is there any through hole requirements? It is assume this system has some sort of commutator ring in it's core and the wires make it out to the rotating surface via some sort of connectors. Other than that, there is no need for any through-holes. What repeatability and accuracy requirement do you have? Does the customer have a preferred encoder solution? Absolute or digital? BiSS encoder. Absolute is preferred. Will trigger DAQ based on this. Axial and radial runout requirement? See sketch for these requirements. Additional questions what is the project timeline? ~ 6 months Do you have an annual forecast amount? Just two are needed for the two instruments being developed. System will be published in a scientific/instrumentation journal. The bid close date is moved to March 27,2025. This Addendum modifies the Request for Quotation and must be acknowledged. Failure to acknowledge all addenda could make your proposal non-responsive. Please confirm that the submitted proposal is not changed because of this addendum. If proposal sent is revised because of this, please submit the revised proposal. The following changes are hereby made to the appropriate documents contained the above-mentioned Request for Quotation (RFQ). All other terms and conditions of the RFQ remain the same.
