The Department of National Defence has a requirement to fulfill its operational mandate to develop and maintain advanced seabed sonar imaging and data storage for all three coasts and to deploy this capability to national and international areas of interest. The work will involve the following: Perform survey(s) as follows: - 45km², to include into Halifax Harbour to Wrights Cove and approaches, beginning at Duncan’s Cove. - Include the BIO “Mine Garden” and approaches to BIO “Mine Garden”. - Contractor to utilize their own assets and vessels for data collection while considering and complying with all applicable regulations and safety requirements while conducting surveys. - Data collected and transferred to the client will be treated as unclassified due to the open-source nature of the collection. No sensitive areas are to be included in the survey, and the identification of any such areas will be coordinated with the client prior to conduct of the survey. - Deliver raw data in the form of a hard drive (TIL File); hard drive to be provided by RCN. Contractor must also deliver a hard copy of survey report, as well as an accompanying electronic (PDF) copy.
