RS Mutual Water Company Consolidation Project (Project)

The State Water Resources Control Board is leading and financing the RS Mutual Water Company Consolidation Project to upgrade water infrastructure in Wofford Heights, specifically serving Maple Lane and Mulberry Lane. The project involves installing approximately 715 feet of new underground waterline, connecting it to the existing waterline along Cypress Lane, and adding 23 one-inch domestic water meters and two hydrants to improve water access and fire protection for the community. All new lines will be placed within the existing unpaved but compacted roadways to minimize disruption. As part of the consolidation, Well No. 1, the current storage tank, and other associated well site facilities will be decommissioned and removed entirely to streamline water service under a more efficient system. The project is identified by number 1510033-004C and was posted as a forecast on May 28, 2026, with oversight managed by the California State Water Board’s Division of Financial Assistance.
