AI Contract Overview
Miami-Dade County's Strategic Procurement Department is seeking to extend the prequalification pool for invasive vegetation control services for an additional five years, pending approval by the Board of County Commissioners. This pool, identified as RTQ-01354, is designed to identify qualified vendors capable of providing services aimed at controlling invasive plant species that threaten native ecosystems, potentially leading to the loss of native flora and fauna. Being part of this prequalification pool does not constitute a contract but signifies that vendors meet the necessary qualifications to be considered for future solicitations. Vendors already prequalified are not required to take further action, while new vendors interested in joining must submit their qualification packages by April 23, 2025, to be considered for inclusion. The contract size is estimated to range between five and fifteen million dollars, and the solicitation is managed through Miami-Dade County's procurement channels, with contact information provided for inquiries. The process remains open for new submissions at any time after the initial establishment of the pool, ensuring ongoing opportunities for vendors to qualify for future invasive vegetation control projects.

Full Description
Dear Vendors/Suppliers:
Miami-Dade County (County), Strategic Procurement Department (SPD) is sending out this notification to the vendor community to reach out to potential vendors/suppliers that may be interested in joining prequalification Pool No. RTQ-01354 Invasive Vegetation Control Services (Pool). The Pool is used to solicit invasive vegetation control services for Miami-Dade County (County). These services are required to reduce and/or eradicate invasive vegetation that have the tendency to dominate native species for available resources, transform the ecosystems used by native plants and animals, and may ultimately lead to the elimination of those native species. Placement in the Pool is not a contract between the County and any vendor, but an acknowledgment that included vendors meet the qualifications listed on the subject pool. Prequalified vendors will be invited to participate in future competitions on as needed basis. The Pool shall and has remained open for submitters to qualify at any time after the initial pool establishment. The Pool is being recommended for a five-year extension, subject to the Board of County Commissioners approval. If you are currently a member of this prequalification Pool, please disregard, no additional action is required from your company at this time. However, if you are not already prequalified and you are interested, please complete the attached pool package to include providing any requested documents and email it to James Boyle at contact@example.gov or upload in INFORMS.
