The Department of Cannabis Control has approved a small outdoor commercial cannabis cultivation license for RX Mountain Farms under California Business and Professions Code Section 26012, authorizing the development of a 1.7-acre facility in Hayfork, Trinity County. The project includes 9,996 square feet of mature cannabis canopy supported by 204 raised 7x7-foot grow boxes, a 600-square-foot immature canopy within a 6x100-foot hoop house, and 3,284 square feet of associated support structures. Water for irrigation is sourced from an onsite well, and domestic wastewater is managed through a dedicated septic system, with site access provided via a private road. The project has been determined to qualify for a categorical exemption under CEQA Guidelines Section 15183, supported by Trinity County Resolution No. 2020-103 and Ordinance No. 315-823, which confirm alignment with local zoning and community land use policies. No formal contract value, pricing details, or financial terms are disclosed, and the solicitation was posted as a sources-sought notice on August 28, 2025, with a submission deadline of September 15, 2025. Environmental correspondence is directed to the Department’s Environmental Evaluation Office in Rancho Cordova, and no federal acquisition regulations, FAR clauses, payment instructions, accounting codes, or evaluation factors are applicable or included in the documentation.
