The Connecticut Veterans Affairs Healthcare System located at 950 Campbell Avenue, West Haven, CT intends to release Solicitation VA-241-11-RQ-0979 for the removal of biomedical waste, hazardous chemotherapy agents, and sharps waste. The full solicitation will be posted on FEDBIZOPPS www.fbo.gov on or about July 21, 2011. The solicitation will include two facilities: the New Haven, CT VA Medical Center and the Newington, CT VA Medical Center. This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAICS code will be 562112 with an applicable small business size standard of $12.5M. Performance period is 365 calendar days after award, with four 1-year option periods. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFP solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Officer will not be able to answer any questions to this notice until a solicitation is issued. All interested parties should register via FEDBIZOPPS interested vendors list. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FebBizOpps which may be issued to this solicitation.
