HEHO Snow Removal/City Services
The purpose of this announcement is to provide notice that the Department of the Interior ¿ National Park Service intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order to City of West Branch for support to maintain safe and accessible park roads during winter and ensure proper road markings for visitor safety and provide a reliable supply of road brine for winter operations at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site in West Branch, IA. Herbert Hoover National Historic Site is within the city limits of West Branch, IA and therefore obligated to coordinate work involving road maintenance with the local municipal jurisdiction. The city municipality has immediate and comprehensive access to the necessary resources and infrastructure to perform winter weather road maintenance efficiently within the city limits and park boundaries.
The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 488490 - Other Support Activities for Road Transportation - with a small business size standard of $18.0M. This procurement is being conducted using Simplified Acquisition Procedures soliciting from a single source authorized by FAR Part 13.
The Contracting Office hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source contract to City of West Branch for the services required. The Contracting Officer has determined that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available due to the nature of the requirement, and no other sources will be able to satisfy agency requirements.
THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the agency.
