Full Description

This is a pre solicitation notice to announce that the Department of Interior, National Park Service, Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, has identified a requirement to solicit for trash collection services for designated sites within the boundaries of Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. NPS intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a base year plus four option years. The contractor who is selected for this project will provide all labor, equipment compatible with government furnished containers, and transportation for trash removal services. Work on this contract will consist of routing pickup / collection of refuse and recyclables for delivery to the nearest state licensed sanitary landfill and recycling center capable of proper disposal under Federal and State regulations as per the specifications. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 562111, the Small Business Size Standard is $35.5 Million (average gross revenue for the last three (3) years). The anticipated issuance date of the RFP is on or about June 18, 2014 with an anticipated closing date of July 18, 2014. The anticipated period of performance is one base year from October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015 with four subsequent option years. Note: there will NOT be a public bid opening for this requirement. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be issued. Solicitation packages may be obtained via FedBizOpps.gov. Active registration in SAM (System for Award Management) is mandatory to be granted an award. Any bidder, not yet registered, may do so via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov by following the online prompts / instructions. All questions will be presented to the Contract Specialist on this project, and not to the Park.
