Page 2 of 2 This is a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to Republic Services, Inc. Under Statutory Authority U.S.C. 253(c)(1), the Government anticipates entering into a sole source procurement negotiation with Republic Services, Inc. to perform commercial solid waste disposal and regulated medical waste container disposal services for the Department of Veterans Affairs Southern Nevada Healthcare System. This service will be performed at VA Southern Nevada Health Care System (VASNHS) facilities. The total estimated value of this contract is not to exceed $2,248,973.88 for a base year and four (4) one-year options with a period of performance from 04/01/2022 03/31/2023 for the base year. The above authority is cited, and justification is made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. This announcement is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1. Other persons may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement by March 23, 2022, 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interest received on or before March 23, 2022, 1:00 PM Pacific Standard Time will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this Notice of Intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. Vendors must show they are an authorized to perform these services in North Las Vegas, Las Vegas, Henderson, and other areas of Clark County, Nevada. Failure to provide this information will be considered non-responsive and will not be considered a viable source.
