Sale of 3-Acre Property at 11101 S. Yukon Avenue to City of Inglewood

The Inglewood Unified School District is selling three acres of district-owned property located at 11101 S Yukon Avenue, formerly the site of Worthington Elementary School, to the City of Inglewood for 14,000,000 dollars. The City intends to utilize the land, identified as APN 4033-013-908, for its planned Center Park Expansion. The property was designated as exempt surplus land under Education Code section 17388 and the Housing and Community Development Department. The sale was approved via Resolution No. 16/2025-2026 on December 10, 2025, following a Request for Proposals process. The City of Inglewood was selected because it provided the highest purchase price and the intended use aligned with the district's requirements. A critical condition of the award was that the sale could not be contingent upon obtaining site entitlements. Additionally, the project is classified as exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under the Common Sense Exemption.
