The United States Postal Service (USPS) is soliciting qualified interested buyers for the purchase of the following described real property known as: Midway Processing and Distribution Facility 2701 & 2535 Midway Drive San Diego, CA 92110-9992 The property being offered for sale by the USPS consists of 2 parcels totaling approximately 26.64 acres. The property is located approximately one half mile from the San Diego Airport. The property abuts a relative new and fairly large multi-family residential development. There are four buildings on site: a 3-story, 436,000 square foot mail processing facility with retail that was built and occupied in 1972, a 28,000 square foot mail delivery facility, a 22,000 vehicle maintenance facility and a 5,000 square foot warehouse. The property is in the Midway/Pacific Highway Corridor Community Plan and is designated as an institutional/post office use (this designation was grandfathered through earlier plans). Zoning is IP-1-2.
