AI Contract Overview
The contract calls for the supply of 166 units of a Saline Lock Kit, Needleless, designed for intravenous cannulation in demanding conditions. Each kit includes essential components such as a latex-free IV constricting band, clear adhesive dressing, alcohol pads, a safety catheter, a needle-free valve port, gauze pads, a hypodermic needle, a 10ml syringe, an IV securing device, and a plastic vacuum bag. The kit is vacuum-sealed in a durable pouch to maintain operational readiness and reduce accidental needle-stick injuries for healthcare providers. Packaging must meet commercial standards and protect contents from damage, with all materials marked according to Medical Marking Standard No. 1, superseding MIL-STD-129. The delivery schedule requires shipments within 30 days after the order, and the contract specifies that units are to be packed in sealed containers suitable for transport, ensuring safe delivery at the lowest rate. The contract incorporates technical and quality requirements as outlined in the DLA Master List, and potentially covers defense-related information protections. Bidders are required to specify the source and part number of the supplies offered. The solicitation is managed by the Department of Defense’s Medical Supply Chain under the oversight of the contact person Michael Small, with responses due within a week of the posting date in April 2026.
