This is a Sources Sought Synopsis for information regarding participation from small and non-small businesses in a competitive procurement for salvage services. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) seeks participation and information from private industry regarding the procurement of salvage services that may be complex and emergent. Such services may be conducted in remote locations under adverse conditions and require the ability to rapidly deploy and acquire subcontract vessels. The procurement may result in award of three contracts, one for each geographical zone. This notice does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to identify potential offerors for market research purposes in order to determine whether any restrictions should apply to the procurement. Responses must be submitted to the attention of Gail Nagle, gail.nagle@navy.mil, no later than December 17, 2015.
