Contractor Rapid Gate (RG) passes per employee is the preferred means of San Diego base access. Contractor instructions and program information is available at http://www.RAPIDGate.com or tel. 877.727.4342. All contractors that anticipate contract and/or micropurchase opportunities with MSC should consider RG application and employee badges in advance of receipt of contract award. The application process is currently expected to take 3 to 4 weeks. The contractor RG account if approved is for an annual period and may be renewed. Individual employee RG passes are intended to be activated and deactivated coincident with individual contract requirements. Until otherwise advised a Temporary 28 day base paper pass may be available. Only while contractor RG new account set up is in process the RG receipt for contractor application including payment may be considered by base(s) at time of 28 day pass application. Contractor employees must present the RG receipt with individual photo id's when applying for Temporary 28 day paper pass at each San Diego base. Unescorted pier access may require paper pass to be specially designated. Base access delays due to non compliance with RG application process are contractor responsibility. Contractor compliance with increased security requirements are appreciated.
