Sanding Booth Extension

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with (IAW) the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The United States Air Force (USAF) intends to award a sole source, commercial, firm-fixed price award to Donaldson Company, Inc., 1400 West 94th Street, Bloomington, MN 55431-2370, for purchase of three (3) Acoustical Booth Paks which will physically connect to three (3) existing Donaldson sanding booths to extend the depth of each booth by 90 inches. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Provisions and clauses incorporated are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-50 dated 16 MAR 2011. Prices should reflect FOB Destination. Quotation due NLT 4 p.m. 31 March 2011. ********************************************************************** ********************************************************************** Justification for only one source: Donaldson Company, Inc. is the manufacturer of the existing booths which require modification to the structural components of the booths. The booths are under a ten (10) year structural warranty. Modification of the warrantied structural components will void said warranty. Maintaining the structural warranty is essential to the Government's requirements, thereby precluding consideration of a product manufactured by another company.
