NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE: The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska intends to award a sole source purchase order to Embla Systems. Embla Systems will be providing hardware repair and software upgrades for the Embla Elite Sandman Sleep Diagnostic Equipment for a period of 12 months. The Sandman equipment is proprietary to Embla Systems and can only be maintained by Embla Systems. Performance Work Statement is attached for the Embla Systems Silver Extended Support Program. Please note that this is an unfunded requirement contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds IAW 52.232-18, Availability of Funds Clause. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 13.501. The anticipated award date is 22 November 2010. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the product/services listed above. Deadline date for the submittals is 17 November 2010 at 1pm Alaska Standard Time. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
