AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Air Force at Eielson Air Force Base is conducting market research for a potential small business set-aside contract to provide high-definition satellite television services at the Goldrush Inn, located across 13 buildings on the installation in Alaska. This effort, identified under NAICS code 517111 with a size standard of 1,500 employees, is intended exclusively for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or binding commitment. The government seeks capabilities packages from interested firms detailing their business size, annual revenues, ownership status including possible 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, VOSB, SDVOSB, or small business certifications, and any anticipated teaming arrangements. Respondents must clearly indicate whether they are the manufacturer of the equipment or provide the name and size of the manufacturer, and disclose any foreign ownership, foreign control, or planned use of foreign national employees. The scope requires a turn-key solution delivering HD television signals to 252 guest rooms and common areas via a centralized headend system integrated with existing coaxial infrastructure, including a base programming package equating to or exceeding DISH America’s Top 120 with full HD and local network affiliates, while maintaining signal strength between 0dBmV and +10dBmV at each outlet and ensuring stable, artifact-free picture and audio quality. The system must be scalable for future expansion into sports, premium, international, and specialty channels without requiring a complete replacement. Contractors must comply with all security protocols including AT Level I awareness training, Eagle Watch program briefings, base access requirements, and force protection condition directives, with the understanding that operational changes may cause work stoppages. The government will conduct a site visit to allow vendors to evaluate the current coaxial distribution network, and any necessary repairs or upgrades must be fully accounted for in the proposed pricing, as no equitable adjustments will be permitted post-award for conditions observable during the visit. Responses are due by June 25, 2026, to the designated point of contact, with all submissions voluntary and at the respondent’s expense.
