The Palmdale Water District is seeking qualified vendors to undertake a comprehensive upgrade of its existing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Operational Technology (OT) network. This project builds upon a recently completed SCADA Master Planning initiative, which outlined a four-phase approach to modernize the system for the next quarter-century. The initial phase involved designing a new SCADA network utilizing advanced microwave technology, and this has already been completed. The current solicitation encompasses the subsequent phases, including the implementation of the new SCADA network, virtualization of SCADA servers, upgrading SCADAPack devices, and standardizing SCADA protocols. Additionally, the contract covers personnel training, ongoing maintenance, and support to ensure the system's reliability and efficiency. The project is valued between two and five million dollars and is open to responses until June 12, 2025. The solicitation, identified as 2025-RFP-003, is issued by the Palmdale Water District, a California-based public agency. Interested vendors can contact Jim Stanton via email or phone for further details and access the project portal for additional information. This upgrade aims to establish a robust, future-ready SCADA/OT infrastructure capable of supporting water district operations for decades to come.
