Scalable Display Manager Software and VDS Replacement Screen

The AFTC Installation Contracting Division/PZIOAD, Eglin AFB FL, intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price contract for Scalable Display Manager Software and VDS Replacement Screen IAW FAR 13.106-1(a)(1)(iii) and 13.106-1(b) to Immersive Display Solutions, Inc., 2100 Barrett Park Drive NW, Suite 501, Kennesaw, GA 30144-7042. Anticipated award date is 18 March 2016. The Panoramic Scene Projection system is a spherical dome system that uses nine video projectors to display an immerse scene. A scene calibration system is required to warp the scene geometry and blend the projected intensity of the nine projectors into the single, uniformly lit scene. The current reflective screen of the system has yellowed and has sustained several tears. A new screen for this custom built enclosure is required. The Panoramic Screen projector system is used in the Advanced Guided Weapons Testbed to conduct open-and-closed loop testing of a variety of sensors to research guidance techniques for developmental munitions. The spherical dome used in this projection system was custom built by Immersive Display Solutions, Inc. (ISDI) and is unlike any other projection surface. The contractor is uniquely qualified to construct the new screen. The scene calibration system is specifically designed to calibrate the spherical images required for this system. Other calibration systems are not equipped to handle the spherical geometry. This requirement is for: CLIN 0001: Scalable Display Manager Software specific to the replacement screen CLIN 0002: VDS Replacement Screen These items must be delivered to: Air Force Research Laboratory, Advanced Guided Weapons Testbed, 101 W. Eglin Blvd., Ste. 150, Eglin AFB, 32542 on an FOB Origin basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 333318, small business size standard: 1000 employees. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged.
