AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE4A6-27-T-3526 is a Request for Quotations issued by the DLA Weapons Support ASC Commodities Division for the procurement of 120 hexagon head cap screws (NSN 5305-01-675-9570). The items must strictly adhere to MIL-DTL-1222J standards regarding manufacturing processes, mechanical properties, and surface markings, which must include the material symbol, manufacturer's symbol, and lot number. Notably, the government prohibits the use of additive manufacturing for these parts, and any offers utilizing such processes are ineligible for award. Delivery is required by May 4, 2027, under FOB Origin terms via the First Destination Transportation program, with the final destination being DLA Distribution San Joaquin in Tracy, California. The contract mandates rigorous quality and safety compliance, including a prohibition on intentionally added mercury and adherence to SAE AS9003 or ISO 9001 inspection systems. Sampling must follow MIL-STD-1916, ASQ H1331, or a comparable zero-based plan. Due to the nature of the technical data, this procurement is subject to ITAR and EAR export controls, requiring eligible contractors to hold an approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program certification. Administrative requirements include the use of the Wide Area WorkFlow system for invoicing and compliance with various FAR and DFARS clauses covering cybersecurity, domestic sourcing under the Buy American Act and Berry Amendment, and HUBZone small business preferences.
