AI Contract Overview
The contract covers the procurement of 835 units of socket head cap screws, identified by NSN 5305-00-273-6305, with delivery required within 158 days to DLA Distribution in San Diego, California. The contract enforces strict compliance with the Defense Logistics Agency's master list of technical and quality requirements, including packaging per MIL-STD-2073-1E, marking per MIL-STD-129, and quality control measures such as inspection and acceptance at the origin point. Sampling and inspection will follow military standards MIL-STD-1916 or ASQ H1331, ensuring zero non-conformance unless otherwise specified. Mercury or mercury compounds are prohibited in all materials, packaging, and preservation processes except for narrowly defined exceptions, reflecting environmental and safety compliance. Additional contract stipulations include requirements for certificates of conformance and quality compliance, measurement and test equipment standards, and adherence to tailored higher-level contract quality demands for critical application items. Contract documents reference specific military and non-government standards for piece part numbers and quality assurance. The contract specifies no quantity variance, FOB origin delivery, and incorporates detailed shipping and packaging instructions to ensure proper handling and traceability throughout the supply chain. The point of contact for this procurement is Alison Allen from the ASC Commodities Division of the Department of Defense.
