The hardware must conform to the latest revision of applicable military or consensus non-government part standards, with prior revisions acceptable if previously current. The contract specifies sampling and gauging methods aligned with MIL-STD-1916 and FED-STD-H28/20 standards for threaded components. Packaging and marking are governed by MIL-STD-2073-1E and MIL-STD-129, ensuring proper preservation without the use of mercury or mercury compounds, except in limited restricted applications. Bare item marking must include contract number, NAWC CAGE, and part number unless otherwise stated.
