The Department of the Navy's NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support in Philadelphia is conducting market research to identify qualified contractors capable of manufacturing or providing commercially certified overhauled parts for a specific component used on the P-8A Poseidon aircraft, specifically the NSN 5305 017250818 and P/N 97345A446. This component is a commercial item derived from the Boeing 737-800, with the requirement emphasizing the procurement of unmodified commercial common items that are FAA-certified and possess an FAA Authorized Release Certificate (FAA Form 8130-3). The government is seeking responses from a broad range of small business entities, including service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, and 8(a) certified firms, to determine potential sources and the appropriate procurement method, which may be set aside for small businesses or conducted through full and open competition. Interested companies are asked to submit detailed information about their capabilities, including whether they are OEMs or capable of manufacturing the part, their small business status, and relevant company details such as name, Cage Code, and point of contact. The NAICS code for this procurement is 332722. This market survey does not constitute a solicitation, and responses are voluntary, with no obligation or feedback provided by the government. The deadline for submissions is April 30, 2025, and all responses should be emailed to the designated contact. The outcome of this market research will inform future procurement strategies for this requirement.
