AI Contract Overview
Solicitation SPE7L3-26-T-269G is a request for quotations issued by the Department of Defense, specifically DLA Land and Maritime, for the procurement of one plain seal, identified by NSN 5330-01-570-5913. The procurement is managed under NAICS code 332722 and requires delivery to the USS MESA VERDE LPD 19 via the fastest traceable means. Quotations must be submitted through the DLA Internet Bid Board System by October 1, 2026. The contract specifies a delivery timeline of 20 days after the order is placed, with inspection and acceptance occurring at the destination. The technical requirements mandate that all supplied items be free of asbestos and comply with strict environmental and safety standards. Specifically, mercury-containing portable instruments must be shock-proof with a second boundary of containment per NAVSEA 5100-003D. Due to the potential for ultraviolet ray deterioration, the seal must be packaged in a medium duty, waterproof, greaseproof, and opaque bag according to MIL-DTL-117, Type II, Class C, Style 1. General packaging and marking must adhere to RP001 and MIL-STD-129, including a special marking code to ensure the item is not bent. Administrative compliance includes the use of the Wide Area WorkFlow system for invoicing and payment. The solicitation incorporates various FAR and DFARS clauses, including the Buy American and Balance of Payments Program, the Berry Amendment, and NIST SP 800-171 assessment requirements for cybersecurity. Offerors must maintain active registration in the System for Award Management and certify that they do not provide covered defense telecommunications equipment or services.
