Seattle Lift Replacement

The Seattle VA Medical Center is procuring the removal and replacement of patient ceiling lift systems across multiple clinical areas including the Emergency Department, Community Living Center, Oncology, Medical Surgery, SCI, and Radiology departments, with the goal of replacing equipment that has reached end of life or is beyond economical repair. The requirement encompasses full project delivery including design, procurement, installation, and training, with all systems required to have an 825-pound weight capacity, be brand new (no refurbished components), and meet strict salient characteristics detailed in Attachment A and referenced floor plans in Attachment B. The solicitation specifies a firm-fixed-price contract with delivery FOB destination within 180 days of order receipt, and all installations must occur within designated hours at the Seattle VA Medical Center’s Bldg. 100 Warehouse, with no on-site storage available. Offerors must be authorized provider for OEM parts with a manufacturer-signed authorization dated within one year of the solicitation posting, and must provide evidence that their equipment meets the exact physical, functional, and performance specifications outlined, including compatibility with existing infrastructure and compliance with NFPA 13, NFPA 99, and NFPA 70 standards. Sling labeling requirements mandate permanent identification of model, size, weight capacity, and manufacturer, with color-coding and orientation indicators to ensure safe use, and disposable slings must be clearly designated for single-patient use.
