Aqua Works Inc is seeking certified MWBE-SDVOB firms who are interested and able to serve as subcontractors or suppliers for a possible water main reconstruction project in the Village of Sleepy Hollow, NY. We are specifically seeking firms for the Electrical work, fencing, piping, asphalt and supplies. Please reach out for the full RFP and the scopes of work to contact@example.gov. The bid is due 12/18 so please let us know as soon as possible before then if you’re interested so we can discuss the details. DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK The work under this contract consists of providing all necessary labor, material and equipment required to replace existing but not limited to: Removal/Abandon existing 6” domestic water main from Palmer Avenue to Kathryn Davis Pavilion as shown on contract drawings. Removal of existing water meter and meter vault. Restoration of area after removal. Install a new 8” water main with water meter and backflow from Edge on the Hudson Housing development property line to the Pavilion. Reconnect to existing piping. Replace/add fire hydrants. Install new hydrant valves, valve boxes and accessories. Install new 8” water meter assembly within a weatherproof enclosure on a new concrete supporting pad. Install new 8” reduce pressure zone assembly within a weatherproof enclosure on a new concrete support pad. All site work including saw cutting asphalt, trench excavation for new 8” pipe installation and road restoration. All associated Plumbing related work (A Westchester County Licensed Plumber shall be employed for the installation of water meter, RPZ, piping and accessories work within the weatherproof enclosures to comply with DOH and local water authority requirements). All associated Electrical related work.
