Select Respondent for Facilities Security Improvements

The proposed project consists of Facilities Security Improvements at John Wayne Airport. Security infrastructure upgrades will include a new single-mode fiber loop and airfield utility infrastructure; replacement and upgrade of the entire JWA Access Control Alarm Monitoring System (ACAMS), including 726 doors; replacement of the existing Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system and addition of new CCTV camera devices, for a total of 1,635 CCTV cameras, including associated video storage; and installation of a new Perimeter Intrusion Detection System (PIDS) around the airfield. The improvements will replace and modernize aging security infrastructure, improve system redundancy, and support compliance with current Transportation Security Administration guidelines, Title 49 CFR Part 1542 – Airport Security, and the Airport Security Program.
