The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) has a BRAND NAME ONLY requirement to procure a new Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik Gmbh (Scheuerle) Self Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT) transportation system and spare parts in accordance with the attached statement of work (SOW). It has been determined that Scheuerle is the manufacturer of these products and no other product will satisfy the agency's requirements. No substitutes are deemed acceptable. This requirement will be negotiated on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 with Scheuerle Fahrzeugfabrik Gmbh (Scheuerle) and its exclusive distributor. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for BRAND NAME Commercial Items in accordance with the format prescribed in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a sole-source Request for Proposal (RFP); solicitation number is N00024-13-R-4327, and a firm fixed price contract is contemplated. It is anticipated that this will be a non-competitive procurement awarded to Transport Systems and Product, Inc., an exclusive distributor of SCHEURLE SPMTs, located at 26 Campbell Drive, Stamford, Connecticut (zip code 06903). The tentative due date for receipt of proposal is 22 November 2013. All future information about this acquisition including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69 effective 01 August 2013. The Government has provided the following information as attachments to this combined synopsis/solicitation: 1.
