NRL NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE
This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available and email requests will not be honored. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to award a sole source Purchase Order to Nanoscience Instruments, Inc. This requirement is for the service maintenance agreement (SMA) for model Phenom Pharos scanning electron microscope (SEM) from Nanoscience Instruments. The required POP is for 2 years starting 1 October 2026. Nanoscience Instruments is the only licensed distributor of this SEM and is the only vendor capable of servicing and guaranteeing operation. If a third party were to attempt to service, all warranties would be void and could not guarantee instrument operation.
The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) for this requirement is 811210 with the size standard $34 million.
The Federal Supply Code (FSC) / Product Service Code (PSC) procurement is J066.
This purchase will be made utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with:
